110 Above Nominated For Three UK Festival Awards

In a year of change for one of the UK’s most unique and intimate music festivals, which saw the debut of their “OTHR Festival”, 110 Above has been rewarded with three nominations at the UK Festival Awards 2023.

Shortlisted from over 200 applications, the Leicestershire festival has made the cut in the “Best Line Up”, “Best Festival for Emerging Talent”, and “Best Grassroots Festival” categories.

It is testament to the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to make 110 Above such a special event for music fans every year.

The “Best Line Up” nod comes after a stacked bill topped by Circa Waves, The Mysterines, Jack Garratt, and Twin Atlantic, which is particularly impressive based on the size and capacity of Gopsall Hall Farm.

This, alongside the diversification of the lineup and genres in 2023, made it a memorable year for festival-goers.

But it is the festival’s consistent ability to provide slots at the lower end of the line up poster for future stars that sees 110 Above nominated in the “emerging talent” category.

Over the years, the festival has garnered an unrivalled reputation for scouting out bands and artists who go on to achieve bigger things after using the important platform provided by a festival such as 110 Above.

The “Best Grassroots Festival” nod acknowledges 110 Above’s dedication to creating an intimate and community-driven atmosphere with no commercial support.

The UK Festival Awards ceremony takes place at Escape to Freight Island in Manchester on Tuesday 5th December.
