Echo & The Bunnymen will release their first album of new music in 12 years next month, with Apples For Isaac arriving on 18th September 2026 via BMG.
The album marks the Liverpool band’s 13th studio album and follows 2014’s Meteorites, as well as the 2018 compilation album The Stars, The Oceans & The Moon.
It will be released across a range of formats, including black vinyl, limited-edition splatter vinyl, a limited picture disc, CD and digital.
The announcement arrived alongside the release of the album’s first single last month, Brussels Is Haunted, accompanied by a new video.
The album features legendary Blondie drummer Clem Burke on 10 of its 11 tracks.
Burke sadly passed away during the album’s completion, with the band paying tribute to his contribution: “The mighty, legendary Clem Burke – long time friend of Mac – was integral to the making of the album, and heartbreakingly passed away during its completion. We love you, Clem x”
Apples For Isaac was produced by Ian McCulloch, with mixing handled by McCulloch, Alan Moulder and Andrea Wright. Brussels Is Haunted was mixed by Mike Cave.
Echo & The Bunnymen have recently completed an extensive run of shows across the UK and North America and will continue their live schedule with two London dates at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre on 22nd and 23rd September.
This is followed by two performances at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom on 20th and 22nd December.
