The Fratellis are the latest band to headline the Blackpool Live summer series of shows, as they take on the iconic Winter Gardens next week.
Presented by Scruff of the Neck on Friday 21st August, support will come from indie favourites The Twang, and up and coming names in The Lilacs and The Cheap Thrills.
Blackpool Live launched this year, bringing together an excellent programme of live music at one of the UK’s best-known seaside destinations.
The likes of Jimi Hendrix and The Stone Roses are just some of the names to have graced this stage, and now many more will have the opportunity across seven major headline events.
The shows will form a combined 17,500 capacity, with more than 27 artists performing during the season (see programme below).
Mark Lippmann of Scruff of the Neck commented: “People always ask what the best gig you’ve ever been to was, but when you think about it, you remember so much more than the band.
“You remember who you were with, what you did before the show and how the whole day felt. Blackpool is uniquely placed to create those experiences.
“You can jump on a train, spend the day by the sea and finish it watching incredible live music in one of Britain’s most iconic venues. That’s what Blackpool Live is really about.“
