There’s a big night of music ahead in Manchester, with Stereophonics, Jake Bugg and The Fratellis all in town. If you don’t want to miss out on nights like this in the future, then today might be the day to book your next gigs. Every Friday, we post our selection of the best ticket releases, including links, times of sale and full lists of tour and festival dates. This week, we have a Manchester icon along with a rising popular band from the city. We’ve also got UK shows from a noughties New York outift and a UK rock band fresh from an acclaimed tour with Madness. Here are our picks this week…

IAN BROWN

The iconic frontman of The Stone Roses, Ian Brown has announced his first UK tour in over a decade. Including a huge homecoming date at Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse on 30th September, the tour will see Ian performing across ten dates in September and October 2022. YEAH YEAH YEAHS

Following the big tour announcement earlier in the week, New York‘s the Yeah Yeah Yeahs have added a further UK date on top of the previous two in Manchester and London. Their first UK shows in over nine years will now include two dates at the O2 Academy Brixton, alongside the Manchester Apollo show. English Teacher will join the band on the 5th June, Dry Cleaning and Anika open on 7th, with Porridge Radio and Anika supporting on 8th June. SQUEEZE

Legendary UK rock band, Squeeze have announced their first major UK tour in over three years for November 2022, where they will be joined by none other than Salford’s punk poet, John Cooper Clarke. The massive 22-date ‘Food For Thought’ tour will see Squeeze visiting the likes of Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, Newcastle and Scotland, following their impressive run of support dates with Madness last year. THE SLOW READERS CLUB

And last but not least, the live return of Manchester‘s The Slow Readers Club was confirmed this week, with a run of UK dates for September 2022 announced. With two studio albums released in 2020 and a brand new single in 2021, the band are showing no signs of slowing down this year, with an ever-growing loyal fanbase behind them every step of the way.
