The eagerly awaited return of We Invented the Weekend, the dynamic free festival lighting up MediaCity and Salford Quays, has been confirmed for June 15th and 16th.

The Manchester festival has confirmed the latest additions to the 2024 lineup, promising an even bigger and bolder experience with over 200 free activities throughout the weekend.

Music enthusiasts can groove to the beats of top talents like DJ Paulette, Sacha Lord, and more, while families can enjoy lively CBeebies-themed dance workouts with Mr Motivator and enchanting performances by Bluey and the CBeebies House Stars. The BBC Philharmonic will transport guests into a Musical Storyland, weaving beloved fairy tales with magical music.

Get ready for a whirlwind of excitement with aerial dance duets, behind-the-scenes theatre tours, and high-energy flash mobs. Plus, unleash your creativity with craft workshops and giant cardboard playgrounds.

Sports buffs can dive into BMXing, football skills showcases, and yoga sessions led by award-winning actor Scottee. And don’t miss the inclusive sport activities presented by BBC’s Super Movers campaign, designed for everyone to join in on the fun.

Experience a feast for the senses with Melanin Markets showcasing black-owned businesses, while foodies can indulge in delectable treats from Quayside MediaCity. Discover green initiatives with RHS Bridgewater and sustainable living tips from Auto Trader.
