Luke Royalty Returns With ‘SYNTHIA’

Darlington singer-songwriter, Luke Royalty, is back with the latest instalment from his forthcoming EP, 9INE, with a brand new single out now.

‘SYNTHIA’ follows the recent release of ‘Up!’, which was preceded by a breakthrough 2022 in which Luke released his incredible debut EP, ‘My Blue Room’.

Self-produced and mixed by frequent collaborator Bob MacKenzie, the new single sees Luke returning with a love letter for a future partner and a new sonic direction.

He commented: “I wanted to write a love song for my new record, but didn’t have a girlfriend so I made one up. It’s named after a stock plug-in on Logic Pro where the track was created.

The new seven-track EP promises to be another step in the right direction for the North East artist, who has been developing on the live stage with the support of a full band since emerging into the post pandemic world of gigging.

Luke continues: “9INE is a messy pop project about love, hope and fear. I really wanted to try and make something that sounded different to the other music that’s being released right now and separate myself from any labels or genres that people might expect when listening to Luke Royalty. I want to create something that’s fresh, exciting, and rough around the edges.”

With early acclaim from the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders, BBC 6 Music, NME, and The Independent, Luke Royalty‘s DIY approach and authentic style is capturing the right kind of attention across the UK.
