Jamie Webster has taken one more step towards the release of his highly anticipated third album, with new single Fickle Fran out today.

The Liverpool singer-songwriter has teamed up with kindred spirit, Billy Bragg, for the track, which follows the story of a door-to-door salesman and is the latest single from the February 2024 record.

The new album, 10 For The People, sees Jamie teaming up once again with Dave Eringa, recording the new material between the iconic Rockfield and his brand new home studio.

Jamie commented: “’Fickle Fran’ is a song about the spirit and the defiance of the working class. I was thinking back to the days of a ‘salesman’ knocking door to door with clothes off the back of lorries. He was always both cynical and optimistic which is where the fickle idea comes from.

“He’d always moan about how his clothes weren’t selling the way he thought, but come the next season of weather he had the perfect product that would make up for his shortcomings. This was before online shopping and also way before websites that sell fake products.”

Fresh off the back of some huge sold out shows at his hometown Pier Head, which was followed by the announcement of his biggest headline gig to date at Sefton Park, Jamie Webster is at the top of his game right now.

10 For The People is released with Modern Sky on Friday 2nd February 2024. You can also catch Jamie on his UK tour this year, with some venues sold out already and many running low (see dates below).
