We’re back to provide our picks for Friday ticket releases! Each week, we make our selections at Northern Chorus and post the full lists of tour dates, ticket links and the times they go on sale. This week, we’ve got two of the best indie solo artists out there today, one from the U.S. and one from the north of England. We’ve also got one of 2021’s breakthrough artists and a huge gig for a fast-rising Yorkshire band. Here are our picks this week…

PHOEBE BRIDGERS

Her critically acclaimed 2020 album, ‘Punisher’ was one of the stand-out records in a year packed with big releases, and now Californian singer-songwriter, Phoebe Bridgers is heading to the UK for a run of live shows. There was huge demand for the presale release and extra dates have now been added across June and July, following the announcement she would also be appearing at Glastonbury this year. Tickets are available from 10am today HERE, full tour dates listed below.

JUNE 2022 UK & IRELAND DATES
20 – Fairview Park, Dublin, Ireland
22 – Barrowland, Glasgow, UK
23 – Barrowland, Glasgow, UK
24-25 – Glastonbury, Somerset, UK
26 – O2 Academy, Birmingham, UK

JULY 2022 UK & IRELAND DATES
23 – O2 Apollo, Manchester, UK
24 – O2 Apollo, Manchester, UK
26 – O2 Academy Brixton, London, UK
27 – O2 Academy Brixton, London, UK

SAM FENDER

The good times keep rolling for North Shields star, Sam Fender. After being named ‘Best Rock/Alternative Act’ at the BRIT Awards, he went on to receive ‘Best Album in the World’ for 2021 record, ‘Seventeen Going Under’, with festival headline slots and arena dates filling up around him. Now he’s announced a date in Scarborough, playing the popular Open Air Theatre on Friday 27th May. Tickets go on sale at 9am from HERE.

WET LEG

After bursting onto the scene with hits, ‘Chaise Longue’ and ‘Wet Dream’, Isle of Wight duo, Wet Leg have enjoyed a phenomenal rise. Already announced for Glastonbury and with a debut album just around the corner, it was only fitting they announced a 2022 UK & Ireland tour. It’s likely they won’t be playing venues as intimate as those listed above for much longer, and tickets are expected to fly out when they go on sale at 9am today from HERE.

SKYLIGHTS

If you haven’t heard of them by now, Skylights have been making quite the name for themselves and gathering a loyal following in the process. The Yorkshire indie four piece’s rise has been remarkable to observe, leading to a landmark gig announcement this week. They will headline the O2 Academy in Leeds on Saturday 9th July, a city which has special meaning for the band as explained in a social media video earlier this week. Pre-sale tickets flew out in under 5 minutes, with general sale at 10am today from HERE.
