May Festival Round-Up: Live at Leeds in the Park & Neighbourhood Weekender

58 0

We’re entering into festival season, the best time of the year for live music fans, and May will play host to some incredible line ups…

Sound City kicked off the festivals at the weekend in Liverpool, and if attending or seeing videos from the event gave you the taste for festival action, there is plenty more just around the corner…

Today, we’re focusing on two of the northern music calendar’s flagship events – Neighbourhood Weekender in Warrington, and Live at Leeds in the Park!

Both festivals started out as inner-city day festivals in Manchester and Leeds respectively, utilising some of their city’s finest grassroots venues for a dot-to-dot style day festival before expanding into outstanding outdoor live events.

NEIGHBOURHOOD WEEKENDER
(Victoria Park, Warrington, 24th-25th May 2025)

After a year away, 2025 sees the eagerly anticipated return of Neighbourhood Weekender. The festival, since 2018, has rapidly grown into a must-attend event in indie fans‘ calendars following some consistently excellent line ups and a commendably organised family-friendly festival.

Manchester icons James will return to headline this year’s NBHD Weekender alongside this week’s album chart toppers Stereophonics. They will be joined by festival favourites such as The Wombats, The Snuts, The Lathums, Sigrid, and Dizzee Rascal, alongside some of the most hotly tipped names in indie.

With three stages comprising the Main Stage, The Big Top, and The Viola Beach (introducing) Stage, there is always plenty of live music on offer. This is supplemented by the Corner Shop disco, on-site Neighbourhood Inn pub, and an array of food and drink stalls.

The day splits across the stages have now also been revealed. You can check them out HERE, and get your hands on remaining tickets HERE.

LIVE AT LEEDS IN THE PARK
(Temple Newsam Park, Leeds, Saturday 24th May 2025)

This month you can also take a trip to West Yorkshire for Live at Leeds in the Park. Taking place at Temple Newsam, “In the Park” is the outdoor extension of Live at Leeds, an inner-city festival that has boasted names such as Lizzo before achieving global stardom.

This year, Bloc Party will be bringing their 20th anniversary debut album celebrations to a headline slot at Live at Leeds in the Park. They will perform “Silent Alarm” in full alongside a selection of big hits and fan favourites.

Across two main stages for the first time, there will also be performances from Manic Street Preachers, Yard Act, The Pigeon Detectives, and noughties pop icon Natasha Bedingfield. There will be plenty more music and entertainment across a plethora of stages, including the Two Legs Public House and Comedy Tent.

It promises to be another landmark year for Live at Leeds in the Park as it continues to establish itself as an unmissable annual festival date. Head HERE for final remaining tickets!
