The popular “Liverpool Celebrates” music festival is back this year, returning to the city’s iconic Pier Head location across the August Bank Holiday Weekend.

Comprising three days of family-friendly entertainment, live music, and cultural celebration, the acclaimed event will take place from Saturday 23rd August to Monday 25th August.

Following a successful debut last year, the 2025 edition boasts an impressive lineup of music legends and unique events once again.

Headlining this year’s event are 80s pop icon Tony Hadley, Sister Sledge featuring Kathy Sledge, Grammy-winning band The Gipsy Kings by Diego Baliardo, and British soul legends The Real Thing.

Saturday’s “Legends Day” will be followed by Sunday’s “Pop at the Pier”, headlined by Liverpool’s own Bongo’s Bingo.

This is a special family-friendly version of Bongo’s Bingo‘s unique spin on the classic game, accompanied by tribute performances celebrating ABBA, Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Whitney Houston, and Amy Winehouse.

On Monday, the festival pays tribute to Liverpool’s musical roots with a lineup curated by The Cavern Club in honour of the historic Matthew Street Festival.

Performers include tribute acts to Fleetwood Mac, Coldplay, Robbie Williams, The Beatles, Billy Joel, Noel Gallagher, and The Old Time Sailors.

Festival organiser, Daniel Sanders commented: “We’re immensely proud to be returning for the second year. It’s a fantastic lineup in a world-class location.

“This year, we’re making the entire weekend family-friendly, giving everyone—from lifelong fans to the next generation—a chance to experience incredible live music together.”

Tickets are on sale now via liverpoolcelebrates.co.uk.

Early bird pricing includes Saturday tickets at £45 for adults and £15 for children, with Sunday or Monday access at £25 for adults and £10 for children.
