Neighbourhood Weekender recently confirmed a stacked lineup for May, headlined by Pulp and Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbot across the Bank Holiday weekend. Now, they have confirmed a special launch party for the Friday night, featuring one of the town’s musical icons.

Victoria Park has hosted Neighbourhood Weekender since 2018, and it has rapidly become one of UK indie music’s flagship events. The likes of Courteeners, Noel Gallagher, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and George Ezra are just some of the big names to grace the summit of the festival poster.

Live At The Big Top is new for 2023, taking place at the second stage tent and showcasing an array of northern music powerhouses, along with an excititng new local band.

The Stone Roses‘ frontman, Ian Brown will headline on Friday 26th May. He makes his Neighbourhood debut a couple of years on from his infamous withdrawal, returning to his home town for a special performance of solo and hopefully Roses material.

Happy Mondays will also perform at the warm-up show for Neighbourhood Weekender, appearing on the same bill as Brown for the first time ever. Completing the lineup is popular 90’s Liverpool outfit, Cast, along with Warrington newbies, CVC.
