Starsailor have announced a hometown show at Warrington’s Parr Hall, to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of their debut album, ‘Love is Here’. The show will take place on Friday 8th October and will see the band play the album in its entirety live.

‘Love is Here’ reached 2nd spot in the UK charts back in 2001, with its follow-up ‘Silence is Easy’ repeating the same feat, earning the band over £3m in sales and garnering widespread critical acclaim, with a reputation of being one of the best new bands around.

The debut album included some of the band’s finest work, with singles including ‘Fever’, ‘Good Souls’ and ‘Lullaby’. It was rated as the 5th best album of 2001 by NME, mixing with good company that year with the likes of The Blueprint (Jay-Z), Is This It (The Strokes) and White Blood Cells (The White Stripes) joining Starsailor at the top of the coveted list.

In 2009, Starsailor announced a hiatus before reforming in 2014 and going on to play the likes of Isle of Wight Festival, as well as touring the UK as a support act for James. A co-headline tour of Canada and the USA would soon follow with Embrace, as well as playing in front of fans across Asia and Europe.

Now in 2021, Starsailor are ready to celebrate their big anniversary. And where better to do it than in their home town of Warrington? Tickets go on sale 10am Friday 7th May and will be available from www.gigsandtours.com/tour/starsailor.
