Sheffield‘s independent scene comes alive for four days this summer as Abbeydale Road Beer Festival 2026 fills the street with craft beer, street food, live music, exclusive artwork and a North vs South beer trail.
Running from Thursday 30th July to Sunday 2nd August, the festival invites visitors to explore some of the city’s most vibrant venues, breweries and independent businesses that make Abbeydale Road unique.
In a city recognised as one of the UK’s great beer destinations, the festival’s fifth edition highlights the community, collaboration and independent spirit that continue to drive Sheffield’s reputation forward.
Led by the Abbeydale Traders Association, Abbeydale Road Beer Festival 2026 forms part of Sheffield Year of Beer 2026, bringing together 20 independent venues along Abbeydale Road.
This year’s line-up features 15 Beer Stops and five Wild Card venues, encouraging visitors to explore the breadth of the area’s thriving independent scene.
The festival’s visual identity has been created by Sheffield-based artist Mila K, whose original illustrations will appear throughout the event on posters, trail cards, table displays, official festival T-shirts and a range of limited-edition prints.
Festival T-shirts featuring Mila K’s exclusive design are available to pre-order now, allowing supporters to secure their preferred size ahead of the event.
Visitors will also have the chance to watch Mila K create a live mural at Bare Alternative across the festival weekend.

This year’s festival introduces a North vs South theme, with every Beer Stop pouring beers from one northern brewery alongside one southern brewery.
The trail encourages festivalgoers to sample both, compare different brewing styles and decide which side deserves the bragging rights.
Taking part in this year’s trail are The Broadfield, The Gin Bar, Simz, Two Thirds, Corner, Abbeydale Ballroom, Abbeydale Tap, Over the Yardarm, Cole’s Corner, STYR, Abbeydale Beerworks, Dead Donkey, Rum Keg, Amici & Bici, The Bear, Mavi Ruya, Nether Edge Pizza Co, YAMM, Best Boy Bagels and Gravel Pit.
Nicole Jewitt, Chair of Abbeydale Traders Association, commented: “Abbeydale Road Beer Festival has grown because it belongs to the road. This is not a beer festival that happens in one venue. Abbeydale Road itself becomes the festival.
“People move between pubs, bars, cafés, restaurants and independent businesses, they discover places they might not have visited before, and that spend stays with local businesses.
“Sheffield has a brilliant beer culture, and Abbeydale Road has one of the strongest independent trading communities in the city. Bringing those two things together during Sheffield Year of Beer feels like the right moment to make this our biggest festival yet.”
The festival is free to take part in, with visitors paying for food and drink at individual venues and venues operating their own opening hours across the weekend.
