After their incredible surprise album release, 388, in May, The Coral have announced their first headline UK tour in almost three years.
The six shows open later this year in Sheffield on Friday 2nd October, including stops in Newcastle, Leeds, London, and Manchester, before culminating with a date at Birmingham’s O2 Institute 2 on Saturday 24th October.
Alongside the news, the Merseyside quintet have also released a new video for single, Leave It In The Past.
Directed by James Slater, the video sees the band performing at Birkenhead Market (see below).
Singer and songwriter, James Skelly commented on the video: “Ian and I used to live above a pub in Charing Cross, Birkenhead and wander round the market at weekends. It was a magical place to us.
“The atmosphere of the place, and the characters you still find there, reflect the ethos of ‘388’. It’s simultaneously of today and another time entirely.”
