Yard Act Tour On Sale This Week Following New Album Announcement

Yard Act have announced details of their eagerly awaited new album, “You’re Gonna Need A Little Music”, and now more live shows have been announced.

The Leeds band will release their third record on 17^th July via Island Records.

Redeemer, the first taste of new music from the forthcoming release, is streaming now, and the video is here.

The album was recorded between their home city and Los Angeles with producer Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Nine Inch Nails, Beck, St Vincent). 

Incredibly, it marks the first time that the quartet have ever made an album together, as a live band in the same room.

Frontman, James Smith described the debut and sophomore as “laptop records”, with The Overload written alongside Ryan Needham (bassist) before the band were fully formed, and Where’s My Utopia? created on tour buses and in hotel rooms.

The new album was created from an “uninterrupted five month period” of creativity, crafting “40 or 50 songs” with no external pressure.

James Smith commented: “It felt like freedom. It felt like everything I’d wanted from being in a band.”

Now, with a big touring schedule ahead in 2026, Yard Act have unveiled a run of UK headline dates for November.

This is in addition to the three dates already announced, with tickets currently on sale for Leeds, Manchester, and London shows.

General sale starts from 10am on Friday 15^th May.
