Manchester punk band, Loose Articles have announced their return with new new single, ‘Cringe of Hinge’, out now via Alcopop! Records.
The track is the first taste of the group’s eagerly anticipated forthcoming sophomore record, with further details of the release to be revealed soon…
The track was produced and mixed by Rob Slater at Greenmount Studios in Leeds, and is accompanied by an official video filmed and edited by Anna Reed, and directed by Rachel Williams.
The band commented: “This is an anthem dedicated to the relationship cheaters on dating apps. You know who you are: you’re the cringe of hinge.
“We wanted to hit back at the disposability of the modern relationship; swiping left or swiping right, blooming or perishing at the touch of a button.
“Dating profile stereotypes, sell the best version of yourself. Sliding binge, the illusion of infinite choice. ‘Cringe of Hinge’ says no to being swipeable products, and shallow interactions.”
Loose Articles will also head out on a May 2026 UK Headline Tour next month, as they kick-start their new chapter following their breakthrough debut, Scream If You Wanna Go Faster in 2024.
It saw the band land sought after support slots with the likes of New Order, Foo Fighters and more.
