One of the most trusted voices in radio right now, Chris Hawkins (BBC 6 Music) has announced another ‘Awesome Friends’ new music night.
The series of events are dedicated to finding fresh sounds and championing the best up and coming bands and artists.
Since relaunching in Manchester in January 2026, Awesome Friends has already hosted three sold-out dates.
Now, it has been announced that on Monday 25th May, Awesome Friends will host Brògeal, The Rooks and Bean Magazine at Manchester’s Night & Day Cafe.
Chris commented: “Awesome Friends is all about discovering the best new acts and supporting them on their journey to main stages.
“The night is an amazing opportunity for music fans to get up close with incredible emerging artists and fall in love with new favourite bands.
“Manchester’s music scene is fantastic shape and introducing the next generations on stage is a massive thrill.”
Awesome Friends‘ previous line-ups have included names such as Wunderhorse, Corella, The K’s and Lime Garden, who all enjoyed breakthroughs afterwards.
Chris himself was also an early supporter of the likes of Sam Fender, Wet Leg and The Lathums, who have enjoyed plenty of success since.
