Hard-Fi Announce New Album, Single & December Tour

Hard-Fi have announced their first album in 15 years, with new record, Sweating Someone Else’s Fever, out on June 19th via V2 Records.

Written and recorded in 2025 at their Cherry Lips studio, the album has been produced by frontman Richard Archer alongside long-time collaborator Wolsey White.

Fans have also been treated to new single, ‘They Ain’t Your Friends’, which landed today.

Richard Archer commented on how the track takes aim at fake online allegiances and modern music hypocrisies: “At the beginning you could get out there and it was a meritocracy, whereas now it’s basically back to patronage where you have to suck up to the guy who’ll give you some money to write a waltz for his ball.”

The track is an amalgamation of two old demos, which Archer’s 10-year-old son found on his laptop and stitched together.

He says: “They were in different tempos so a lot sounded like chaos, but every now and then it would be really cool. We did it all properly and suddenly it sounded really fresh. Now he’s going, ‘So where’s my cut?!’”

Elsewhere on the album, Olivier Award-nominated singer Krysten Cummings lends guest vocals to ‘You Rule My Heart’ and ‘A Rose Electric’.

The album will be available on CD, standard vinyl, turquoise vinyl (band store exclusive), and red, black, & white spattered vinyl (Indie Record Store Exclusive) HERE.

And if an album announcement and single release weren’t enough, the band have announced three huge headline dates in December .

Hard-Fi will take on London, O2 Academy Brixton (Thursday 3rd December), O2 Institute Birmingham (Friday 4th December) & O2 Ritz Manchester (Saturday 5th December).
