Belfast‘s fast-rising electronic post-punk duo, Chalk have announced details of their highly anticipated debut album, ‘Crystalpunk’.
The debut LP is set for release on March 13th, and fans can pre-order here.
The Northern Irish group have partnered with NYC headquartered label ALTER Music for the release.
Chalk have also shared their incredible new single, ‘I.D.C.’ (video here), after premiering on BBC 6 Music’s Huw Stephens show last night.
The track was produced by Chris Ryan (NewDad, Enola Gay, Just Mustard) and Chalk’s vocalist Ross Cullen, mixed by Scott Desmarais (Post Malone, Lizzo, blink-182), and mastered by Chris Gehringer (Lana Del Rey, Lady Gaga, Rihanna).
Ross Cullen commented: “I.D.C. captures a fictional night out — self-destruction disguised as celebration, knives twisting beneath the strobe. It’s the danciest track on the album.”
It follows an incredible year for the band, which included a sold-out UK and European headline tour last spring, their first ever US headline tour in the autumn, and a Glastonbury debut.
2026 is showing no signs of slowing down the progress, with Chalk already confirmed for SXSW before their biggest UK & Ireland headline tour kicks off in April.
The tour includes dates at London’s iconic Electric Ballroom on April 23rd and a hometown show at Limelight on May 16th.
