After launching in 2024 as a nightlife alternative, Day Fever has swept the nation and has been a monumental success.
The concept was founded by Line of Duty actress Vicky McClure, filmmaker and broadcaster Jonny Owen, Jon McClure (Reverend & The Makers), Chris McClure, and Sheffield businessman, James O’Hara.
It debuted in Sheffield’s City Hall Ballroom two years ago and now welcomes thousands of attendees up and the down the country.
The pull is simple – you can enjoy the benefits of a night out but return home at a reasonable time and not ruin your weekend with a hangover!
Jon McClure commented: “It started as a WhatsApp idea. Jonny just said, ‘A daytime disco, how good would that be?’ We’re all a bit nuts, so we just said, ‘Come on then!’”
Vicky added: “It feels like a massive house party at your nan’s. No drama, no egos, just people acting daft, getting dressed up, and having the best time.”
The events run from 3pm to 8pm, with no dress code.
Each event has its own nuances, and there is no cemented setlist for any given day, but Day Fever goers can expect a nostalgic mix of Northern Soul, disco, indie, and 90s classics.
Jon says: “Manchester goes mad for Oasis and if Vicky’s there, we have to play Whitney, it’s non-negotiable!”
Day Fever is also giving back to local venues and communities, with some clubs doubling their daily takings due to the ability to host another event on the night.
Dates are selling out fast and there is a whole host of new towns ready to join the tour, with 2026 set to be its biggest year yet.
