After signing with Island Records imprint Adventure Recordings earlier this year, Westside Cowboy have shared their new single ‘Can’t See’ (video here).
The track premiered on BBC 6 Music by Huw Stephens and is the second offering from their forthcoming EP So Much Country ‘Till We Get There, out January 16th.
The EP was recorded with esteemed producer Loren Humphrey (Cameron Winter, Arctic Monkeys, Lana Del Rey, Wunderhorse) in New York
‘Can’t See’ follows October lead single ‘Don’t Throw Rocks’, with the band commenting: “Recorded day 1 in the studio, this was the first song to get ripped apart and put back together! It’s a short one, but we feel like we fit everything in: a riff, some verses, some choruses, Conga breakdown and some other stuff.
“We like songs that feel like they are going somewhere, cycling, driving, pogoing, but this one’s definitely a runner. Whether that’s towards you or with you, I guess that would be up to the listener to decide.”
Westside Cowboy will also be heading out on a huge UK and European tour supporting band of the moment Geese in March.
They have already packed out stages at Glastonbury, Green Man, End of The Road, and All Points East this year, and the hype is only getting stronger.
Westside Cowboy’s second EP So Much Country ‘Till We Get There is out via Adventure Recordings on January 16th.
