Ellur is back with a brand new single, ‘The World Is Not An Oyster’, out now via Dance To The Radio.
The track sees the rising Halifax indie artist teaming up with Benjamin Francis Leftwich and Jack Leonard (UNKLE) for co-writing duties.
Ellur commented on the new release: “This is the story of a teenage girl who is trying to figure out why love just doesn’t seem to come easy in her life.
“When I was 15 my parents split up and my whole world fell apart and I got into a terrible relationship as a result of trying to understand it.
“Recording this song was a healing process after years of hurting from two of the most painful experiences in my life.”
It follows acclaimed singles ‘The Wheel’ and ‘Missing Kid’, and songwriting sessions with the likes of Antony Szmierek, Blossoms, and Jade Bird.
Her first full UK tour included six sold-out dates last month, and with more new music just around the corner, she finds herself in an exciting moment.
Ellur continues on the new track: “To me this song sounds like home and is such a true representation of my spirit and soul.
“If I were to dedicate it, I’d dedicate it to my Mum and Dad and the infinite love I have for them.”
Ellur’s ‘The World Is Not An Oyster’ is out now via Dance To The Radio and available on all digital platforms.
