The Royston Club Release ‘Cariad’ Video Ahead Of Sold Out Headline Tour

Following their sophomore album success, ‘Songs From The Spine’, and some huge live moments at the likes of Reading & Leeds and TRNSMT, it’s no surprise that The Royston Club‘s UK headline tour kicks off this Thursday with no tickets available.

And to get people excited ahead of this run of sold out shows, arguably the ‘fan favourite’ track from the latest record has had an accompanying video release today.

The ‘Cariad’ video focuses on a young woman who counters the day-to-day grind of her job in a café by daydreaming of an alternate version of her life.

Filmed in Beaumaris, a seaside town on the The Isle of Anglesey in Wales, the video was directed by James Slater (Sam FenderBlossoms) and stars Freya Parks (Fiona in Steven Knight’s ‘This Town’).

The Royston Club commented, “Filming the ‘Cariad’ video in somewhere beautiful like Beaumaris felt like a real testament to the album especially as that’s not only where ‘Cariad’ was written, but the majority of the record.

“Watching James bring his idea to life felt really special and Freya showing such emotion in her performance really encapsulated what we set out to do with the song.”

The Wrexham band have also announced a new ‘Live From Coastal’ EP, recorded late last year at Coastal Sound Studios in Liverpool.

It features new stripped-back versions of ‘The Patch Where Nothing Grows’ and ‘Curses & Spit’ and covers of ‘Wichita Lineman’ and beabadoobee’s ‘Glue Song’.

While your chance to see the band on their UK headline tour dates may have passed, limited tickets remain available HERE for shows in Europe.

In 2026, the band will also perform as guests to Two Door Cinema Club at London’s Crystal Palace Park, alongside The Vaccines and James Marriott.
