Following the release of their excellent new album ‘hickey’, Australian duo Royel Otis have announced their eagerly awaited UK shows for November 2025.
Out via OURNESS/Capitol/Island Records on Friday, ‘hickey’ received widespread critical acclaim and featured popular singles ‘car’, ‘moody’, and ‘say something’.
And after teasing UK shows earlier this year, the ‘meet me in the car’ tour has been confirmed to celebrate their sophomore record alongside the previously announced intimate record store album launch shows.
The news is also accompanied by a new music video release for ‘who’s your boyfriend’, directed by Lauren Dunn.
It also features Lola Tung, the star of the hit Amazon Prime series The Summer I Turned Pretty which featured the band’s iconic cover of The Cranberries’ ‘Linger’.
Royel Otis performed at Reading and Leeds this weekend, where British noughties pop icon Sophie Ellis-Bextor joined them on stage to perform ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’, which the band covered on Triple J to propel them into the global spotlight.
Now attention turns to the main tour, spanning the U.S., Australia, and Europe, with UK dates confirmed for London, Glasgow and Manchester.
