After confirming details of his new albumSunlight In The Shadows, out October 17th via Easy Eye SoundMiles Kane has released the second taste of what to expect.

The second single is ‘Electric Flower’, following the warmly received lead single ‘Love is Cruel’.

Miles commented: “‘Electric Flower’ is a proper glam rock Saturday night feeling tune. It’s one of those you stick on to get your strut on and feel good.

“This one came midway through the creation of the album. The sun was beaming in Nashville, riffs were falling from our heads onto the frets and the energy between Dan [Auerbach], me, and the band in the studio was ELECTRIC.

The new album has been produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, after the pair discovered many shared influences.

The record also includes contributions from Pat McLaughlin, Daniel Tashian and The Black Keys’ drummer Patrick Carney.

Auerbach sings backing vocals and plays on every track, with Nick Bockrath of Cage The Elephant also featuring on guitar.

Miles continues: “All roads, over 20 years, have led here. Dan and I love mixing T. Rex, Motown and The Easybeats and the result is this record.

“When we were chatting and sharing references, we were so similar in taste it was frightening and you can hear that shared passion through the music. I can’t wait to take it out on the road. It’s an album that needs to be played live.”

You can catch the new songs live later this year, as Miles heads out on a string of stripped back solo UK in-store shows through September.
