Westside Cowboy Announce Debut EP & Release New Single

They are one of the most hotly tipped new bands on the block right now, and as they revel in early breakthrough success, Manchester quartet Westside Cowboy have announced their debut EP.

‘This Better Be Something Great’ is set for release August 8th via Nice Swan Recordings / Heist or Hit.

To celebrate the news, the band have shared a brand new track ‘Alright Alright Alright’.

Released yesterday, the track premiered on Huw Stephens’ BBC 6 Music show, and was produced by Lewis Whiting of 2024 Mercury Prize winners, English Teacher.

The group commented: “This song was the first original thing we ever played as a band, before we had any real ambition for the project to reach the ears of anyone outside of that room.

“It is a punk song about a cowboy, and if anyone can take away any more from it than that, consider us impressed.”

‘Alright Alright Alright’ follows popular tracks I’ve Never Met Anyone I Thought I Could Really Love (Until I Met You)’ and ‘Shells’.

It precedes Westside Cowboy’s sought after slot at Glastonbury Festival next week, after triumphing in the Emerging Talent Competition winners open the Woodsies stage on Sunday 29th June (with three other performances scheduled across the weekend).

They have already caught the attention of many on the live stage this year after four packed out sets at The Great Escape in Brighton last month.

This is accompanied by desirable support slots with the likes of English Teacher and Black Country, New Road.
