Ahead of their highly anticipated album release on Friday, Liverpool’s indie-dance pioneers, The Farm have released another taste of what fans can expect.
New single, World Without You, is out now, taken from the band’s first new album in over 30 years, “Let The Music (Take Control)”.
Frontman, Peter Hooton commented: “I wrote these lyrics after Bowie passed away. I was so upset when he died, I was trying to imagine a world without him because he seemed immortal when I was young.
“One of the lines in it ‘take me into the light’ were apparently Lou Reed’s last words, so I thought that was fitting to include them.”
The same original band lineup of Peter Hooton (vocals), Roy Boulter (drums), Carl Hunter (bass), Keith Mullin (guitars), and Steve Grimes (guitar/keys) have all re-joined forces for the new material.
The album was produced by Mike Cave (The Charlatans, Bloc Party), and will be released on multiple formats, including standard and collectors-edition vinyl, CD, and digital.
Despite this being the first new album in three decades, The Farm have toured major UK and European festivals for the last two decades and have announced numerous live shows for 2025.
All of The Farm’s confirmed UK and Ireland shows for 2025, including select intimate instore appearances, are as follows.
