The K’s Release Second Single ‘Got A Feeling’

Forming in Earlestown in 2017 and growing up together in the shadows of two huge North West neighbours in Manchester and Liverpool, The K’s are proving that things can in fact actually grow in the dark.

After watching a video of The Jam performing ‘In the City’ live at the Circus and following years of getting into trouble together since high school, vocalist/rhythm guitarist Jamie Boyle and bassist Dexter Baker were inspired to pick up guitars and see what noise they could make themselves.

The K’s were born and soon after drafted in experienced lead guitarist Ryan Breslin following discussions at another band’s after-party. Breslin, no stranger to the big stage, was being hired as a session guitarist touring America supporting The Who and playing festivals alongside the likes of Aerosmith and Deep Purple.

He was impressed with unmistakeable energy of vocalist Boyle and felt The K’s could be the vehicle he needed for his own head on approach to guitar playing. A search for the right drummer was on to complete the vision. Almost immediately up stepped Jordan Holden, a young bespoke drum maker who’s energy and precision had heads nodding in approval right from his first rehearsal.

The bands explosive debut single ‘Sarajevo’ was an instant hit on music streaming sites, approaching 3 quarter of a million Spotify plays and gathering fans and playlist alike. The debut release was quickly followed by their first headline show at Manchester’s Jimmy’s selling out 2 months in advance, a stir that raised heads and saw the band being picked up by National promoter SJM. Two more Manchester dates quickly followed at Deaf Institute and Gorilla with both selling out and doubling venue capacity with each each show. Leaps were being made.

The K’s released their 2nd single ‘Got A Feeling’ on June 8th via Beautiful Noise Records. Listen on the links below:
