MOBO Awards 2017 Round-up

174 0

Capping off a magnificent year all round, Grime artist Stormzy was the big winner last night when the MOBO Awards came to the First Direct Arena in Leeds. Stormzy has become nothing short of a global phenomenon since the release of his debut album Gang Signs & Prayers earlier this year, and he scooped up an impressive three awards on the night.

The South London sensation picked up the awards for Best Male, Best Album and Best Grime Act on the night, and it would be hard to find somebody who could argue against the decisions. Stormzy has managed to take the baton from Skepta’s Konnichiwa success and elevate the genre to an even higher level, so his hat-trick at the MOBO Awards comes as no surprise.
