Manchester Welcomes Brotherhood!

After the rapid success in Leeds, unique sports bar The Brotherhood of Pursuits and Pastimes will open its doors on Friday 25th August on the corner of Mount Street and Central Street in Manchester.

Since first opening its doors back in 2014 in Leeds, due to its distinctive sports experience, The Brotherhood sports bar has seen remarkable success and grown rapidly in popularity becoming the number one sports bar to be at.

Although predominantly a sports-themed bar, Brotherhood also provides a great music offering. Indie classics and 90’s Britpop features strongly throughout the days and evenings, and as the night goes on there is also the addition of some funk and soul!

Owner Seema Dhimam commented, ‘‘I love sport and was fed up of going into bars where it was a little bit rough and the service wasn’t great. Our motto is ‘be nice or get out’, so Brotherhood is the perfect bar for people who want to watch sport, with no trouble, who want to have a drink and enjoy great service. In all those three years of opening our doors in Leeds, we’ve never had any major trouble in the bar at all.’’

What should you expect from the new Brotherhood bar in Manchester? Let’s start with 24 TVs showing anything and everything sports related, from football to tennis to NASCAR. Brotherhood believe it’s important that they show every niche of sport, even if you’re the only group wanting to watch an event they will show it and provide headphones if needed.

Dhimam continues, ‘‘If nobody else wants to watch it, we’ll give you headsets to listen to the commentary. We want to ensure that we cater for every sport, not just the popular games.’’

The Brotherhood has been moulded for the passionate sports lover who simply wants to enjoy their game in a friendly environment, with good music being played between the big events.

Busy local office workers can even catch a game on their lunch break, as the bar will have tables with USB connectors and lockers with built-in phone chargers. Plus, when ready to catch a breather from work, there will also be dart boards, pool tables, table football and even an Xbox so you can fit in a swift game of FIFA.

The owners of Brotherhood are that dedicated about delivering the perfect experience, it goes against their values to charge at the door or for a table, making free entry yet another Brotherhood bonus.

Moreover, the bar will ooze that classic British charm, with a mezzanine named ‘The Library’ furnished with elegant chesterfield style chairs, traditional bankers lamps and vintage bookcases.

There’s no other bar currently in Manchester offering this personal sports experience, so The Brotherhood is set to be a raging success when it opens its doors later this month!
